We recently acquired an antique Victorian sofa which we intended to restore in a beautiful leather. However, upon closer inspection it we realised that it still had the original Liberty of London fabric in tact beneath the current upholstery.
In my world this is a real gem and rarer then hen's teeth!!
It has suffered heavy wear on one section of the seat but apart from that it is in good order. The outside of the arms and back will have to be replaced as they have previously been removed, so for this we will contrast the original fabric with a new bold coloured fabric or leather.
